A fake giant fort is erected with huge gates. Multi-colored flags and fireballs are used as props. And an elephant too is part of the shot!
Costume cut
Item girl Sabrina is wearing an electric blue bustier and minis with a poison blue fur.
The chorus female dancers are dressed in bright green-and-red kashtis while the male dancers are garbed in yesteryear soldier outfits complete with sword in hand.
Scene I
An item number to be picturized on newcomer Sabrina
The music blasts. It's a deep shot with female extras lining both the edge of the frame. The fort gate is thrown open. Sabrina atop an elephant with soldiers on foot enter slowly. But the time that the gate needs to be flung open is incorrect. They decide to do a retake.
Sabrina looks slightly nervous riding the elephant. She consults the director about her posture. Meanwhile the makeup guy does a quick touch up. And they are ready for the retake. This time the co-ordination is bang on. Shot okay
Scene II
Himanshu Mallik & Meghna Naidu are invited for a party
The soundtrack starts. Meghna is in a pearl white gown, Himanshu in a suede jacket. Hand-in-hand they walk by an artificial fountain. Himanshu goofs the shot with his fast strides. They go for a retake. He finally gets it right.
No of retakes: 5!
Shivaji Shinde is seen rehearsing with the junior artists. Not too much of a dancer, he has a tough time getting the technique. But the actor is determined to get the steps right and tries hard to get into the groove.
(The song appears post interval)
We got the main leads to talk about their respective characters in the films. Meghna seemed pretty upbeat about the film. “The film is basically about money. I play a Himanshu's wife. We go separate ways after marriage but meet up again to hatch a plot” the siren sums up.
So is it again a skin flick? “No. That is not the case. Infact, I have a performance packed role. And can't wait for the film to release” she rattles.
As for Himanshu, he tags the film as a murder mystery and is particularly happy to work with the R.G.Nayyar production house. “What really impressed me was that the director was crystal clear about what he wanted to shoot. There were no delays and postponements. The film was shot in one neat stretch”
