Priyanka cuts a pretty picture in a lavender salwar suit. But what took the cream was a mangalsutra that she wears.
Wah! Kya scene hain
The sequence that is being canned is one where Priyanka -playing Arjun's wife brings her husband to his office. For some reason Arjun just doesn't seem to recognize the place.
Scene I
The scene is taking place in the porch of a sports Complex. Arjun and Priyanka are having a tiny conversation in the black Honda City stationed. Dialogue over, Arjun emerges from the car.
The take is Okayed.
Scene II
Clapboard: Scene 24, Shot 12, Take 3
Here Arjun enters the office but doesn't seem to remember or recognize much. He takes a few hesitant steps to find an empty and deserted place. But the timing is slightly amiss, so the beefcake hero is asked to do a retake. After 3 retakes, Arjun gets it right in the 4th clap.
While the scene was being taken, we caught the Chopra chick quietly devouring a chocolate sundae. We left the pretty lass to enjoy her ice-cream soda and took Arjun for a quick Q-n-A. So what's the film about? “If you want to go by the genre, then it is a love story with a thriller angle thrown in” And what is his role like? “I play the role of guy who meets with an accident and loses his memory. But slowly as things progress, he begins to feel that it wasn't quite an accident after all and something intentional has happened. Now is the dilemma of whether to trust people on what they say. That's why the title, Yakeen”
Now that we have the plot, how was Aitraaz hottie, Priyanka to work with? “I have worked with Priyanka earlier on in Asambhav. She has come out as good actress. And her role in the film is different from what she has done earlier” And director Girish Nambiar…? “Well, he's a long time friend. So when he decided on direction, I was game to act in it. Plus, I quite liked the script too.
Meanwhile Priyanka seems to have done with her dessert and we sit her down for a peek into the film. We tell her that she looks ravishing in her lavender salwar-suit to which she giggles and says that she's always been fond of the Indian wear. So then what happens to the Sonia's that she might have to portray in future projects? “Aitraaz is among the last films where I play a modern woman wearing revealing outfits” So what is her role like in Yakeen? “It's a performance-padded role. I play Arjun's wife she is the one who sticks by him through his lean phase in life and never loses faith in her man” So how was her Asambhav co-star Arjun to work with once again? “He is very funny on the sets and thoroughly enjoys himself” And what about Girish? “He is among the few directors who knows the pulse of the actor and gets the best out of him/her. To Girish, extracting a great scene is more important than ensuring whether the lipstick of his heroine is of the right shade. And that's why I like him” she says sarcastically.
Chief assistant to Girish, Bonny informs us that the film wrapped a 40-day schedule in Manali. The last leg of shooting is happening till the 15th of this month post which postproduction will begin in full swing. The film is looking forward to a February release.
