Trust Farah to find humor in the most awkward situations
The spiffy choreographer recently recounted us an incident where she almost kissed death. “I still remember, my friend Vikram and I had gone location hunting for Pukar in Alaska. Had mom been here, she would now be giving me that ‘told-you-so’ look. I have this habit of prancing around and she keeps cautioning me about it. So while in Alaska, the reckless I landed myself in quicksand! Vikram tried to pull me out but since I obey gravity a great deal, I would just not come out!” she laughs.
“He immediately rushed away and got 2 hefty American guards. I had sunk until my armpits in sand by then. With the help of a flat-board and a platform, they struggled to get me out; the circus was going on for a solid half an hour. But the whites eventually managed to pull me out. I had just come out and realized that I was caked with the pasty gravel, so began to dust myself off, and what do I realize? I don’t have my pants on! There was no sight of my footwear either!“
“Just as the pants peeled off, so did my skin when I realized that I did not have my trousers on! That was the only day I wished I had better legs to replace the cemented tree-trunks that was flashing at the firangs!” she gives a throaty laugh.
