What is it with Udita that we always see the dishy actor rather than hear her? First it was Paap where the actor with the feline body agreed to a dubbing artist for her voice. “That was a conscious move, very voluntary effort on my part. The character that I played needed a husky voice. Since it as my first film, I didn't want to play 'know-all' and it left it to people who have seen the industry for decades. And here I must agree that the dubbing artist did a fab job with it” the hotbod informs us.
“But that wasn't the case with Zeher where I was fully geared for dub. But for some strange reason the Bhatt's didn't want me to. And when I saw the rushes, I told Mr. Bhatt that the dubbing artists had messed with my voice. They kind of agreed too but said that they wanted a mature voice for the role of a wife and felt that I wouldn't be able to deliver. But I have learnt the lesson, albeit the hard way, I am going to dub for every film that I do. If directors want me, they should want all of Udita, her voice encompass!” she flares off.
