8 of 10 people found this review helpful The best thing about the movie is its length – the torture lasts for a relatively short time. Doesn’t the first lesson in “Murder Mystery Story Writing -101 cover that plot twists have to come at regular intervals? If it does not teach that, it must at the very least have mentioned that you certainly cannot have all your plot twists squeezed in the last fifteen minutes as a narrative, however short your movie is.

6 of 9 people found this review helpful Vikram Bhatt's Red is an assault, an atrocity and you should only watch it, if you want to laugh hysterically. No, it is not a comedy, it is just painfully and unintentionally comical - in case you missed the publicity, this is Bhatt's attempt at a European style noir thriller. Whatever!

6 of 9 people found this review helpful It's neither edge-of-the-seat, nor intense and dark. Just bleak. Watch it if you want to see Celina non-perform and Aftab video-walk to Himesh Reshamiya's faltu tunes.

5 of 8 people found this review helpful The biggest flaw in ‘Red’ is the way the story is presented. The dialogues are pretty banal and the script is riddled with plotholes. Although the movie starts off quite well, it becomes utterly predictable in the second half. And the climax, which is shoddily conceived and executed, puts the last nail in the coffin of ‘Red’.

5 of 7 people found this review helpful When you don't have a story to tell, why make a film at all? That's the question I'd like to ask the producer, the director and the writer of Red who have wasted both money and time in bringing this nonsense to screen.

The best part about this film is the runtime which is just 1 hour and 45 minutes. Vikram Bhatt attempted different style of narration with slick technical values. But the content of the film doesn’t have enough depth. This film starts on a different note with heart transplantation concept...

On the whole, Red is clearly a disappointment after some intriguing promos. The movie has nothing special to offer apart from a mind blowing performance by Aftab. All filmmakers who are in casting stages check out this fine actor who is absolutely underrated. A predictable climax and storyline leaves the viewer unengaged...
