7 of 9 people found this review helpful The unplugged version by Suhail of Baatein kuch ankahee si opens like Chal chalein of Woh Lamhe, thanks to Kalyan Baruah's inputs with Blues harp. You can't miss how much the first strain bears amazing likeness to Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak's Magar yeh to koi na jaane ke meri manzil hai kahan bit from the song, Papa kehte hain. Another version of the vibrant ditty, also featuring Adnan Sami, is better nuanced and definitive.

Maybe it's the Metro band, which often enters the scene abruptly. A few favoured musical collaborators -- composer Pritam leads the group, and (it is rumoured) Basu slaps the drumskins himself -- act as sutradhars, a la the Farrelly Brothers film mentioned in this piece's title...

1 of 1 people found this review helpful Life in… Metro may not have an out-of-the-box script and may not have the 'A' class stars studding it but the film is definitely not to be missed. It does what it was suppose to do. DELIVERS!

0 of 1 people found this review helpful Metro is peopled by some brilliant actors. And all of them play out their characters adequately too. There is not much that one can say about a KK or an Irfan...

1 of 1 people found this review helpful The film tells the entwined stories of nine lives living in a metro, Mumbai. Shikha (Shilpa) is a talented but bored housewife who is craving for love. Her relationship with her husband Ranjeet (Kay Kay) is on the rocks, yet the couple is putting up with a façade of being a perfect couple in society...

0 of 1 people found this review helpful You have to live in a Metropolitan city before seeing Anurag Basu's latest multi-starrer - 'Life in a Metro', as only then you'll be able to feel the struggle that one goes through while coping his/her personal and professional life in a city.

1 of 1 people found this review helpful Metro starts on a very practical note where all its characters think from their brains and ends on a very emotional note when their heart takes over. Anurag Basu does the same, using his brains to win our hearts.

1 of 1 people found this review helpful The movie out shows an air of dryness and dullness because of flawed story writing. The appearance of the Metro band from nowhere at constant interval is annoying.

1 of 2 people found this review helpful It is the climax of movies that do not have any particular purpose in mind that can make or break the movie. And the culmination fails here big time. It feels like the writer got bored towards the end and just wanted to get it done with one way or the other...

0 of 1 people found this review helpful 'Metro' is a gripping film but it gets heavy in the second half when the stories in it begin to look more and more commonplace. Thankfully, things don't drag for long. The aforementioned stimuli sets in motion a chain of events that leads to the culmination of the stories.

0 of 1 people found this review helpful 'Metro' may be touted as Shilpa's film given her new international status, and she turns in one of her better performances too, but the ones to watch for are Konkona and Irrfan as they go about their mismatched lives till reality dawns on one and then the other...
