When it comes to the case of two girls vying for one most eligible guy in the town , then Salman Khan is the flavor of the season. First he appeared with Karisma Kapoor and Sushmita Sen in 'Biwi No. 1'. Then came two more flicks 'Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega' and 'Chori Chori Chupke Chupke' with Rani Mukherjee and Preity Zinta. And now he becomes the center of attraction of beauty queens Sushmita Sen and Diya Mirza in 'Tumko Naa Bhool Paayenge' (TNBP). All the three lead players didn't have a great 2001 behind them professionally and even the director Pankuj Parashar delivered some duds a few years back that went by the name of 'Rajkumar' starring Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dikshit and Akshay Khanna's debut vehicle 'Himalaya Putra'. TNBP is a love story produced by Gordhan Tanwani who has two super hits 'Ishq' and 'Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha' to his credit.

TNBP follows today's trend of roping in at least two music directors. It has Daboo Malik giving company to the duo of Sajid-Wajid. 'Bindiya Chamke' sung by today's hot pair of Alka Yagnik and Sonu Nigam is a routine Bollywood latka jhatka number composed by Sajid-Wajid and just manages to stay afloat. It doesn't find place among one of those songs that one may put in a REPEAT mode !!!

'Kya Hua Tujhe' by Alka Yagnik and Sonu Nigam (again) ia a soft melodious track featuring all the three lead players with a chinese fair in the background. It is composed by Daboo Malik and has lyrics by Salim Bijnori. Undoubtedly a good hummable number, never mind very slight shades of Anu Malik's 'Deewaana Hai Ye Mann' from Chori Chori Chupke Chupke. 'Ye Bekhudi Deewaangi' by Sonu Nigam is another good number that resembles 'Sahiba Sahiba' (Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega) in terms of the singing style that varies from low pitch to high intense one. The music by Sajid-Wajid also has the similar feel about it. Jalis Rashid pens the lyrics.

Move over Disco Dandiya and Disco Bhangra, Disco 'Eid Song' has arrived. Sung with aplomb by Sonu Nigam, Arvinder Singh and Sneha Pant, 'Mubaarak Eid Mubaarak' is a Eid celebration number (although coming a bit late when the festive season is already gone !!!!) It is a fast paced beats based rhythmic number composed by Sajid-Wajid.

But the real stealer is 'Kyon Khanke Teri Choodi' by Salman's favorite Kamaal Khan. He delivers his best along with Alka Yagnik in this funky number which has been picturized in a youthful peppy manner. It is a club dance song with Salman and Sushmita hip hopping to the tunes by Sajid-Wajid and lip syncing to Jalees Rashid's lyrics. This song will be popular among masses and is a sure shot HIT. As with Kambakth Ishq(Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya), Jaanleva (Moksha) and the title song of Khullam Khulla Pyaar Karen, 'Kyon Khanke...' too appears as a REMIX version in the shape of 'MELODIC CLUB MIX' which is impressive as well.

Mandatory Punjabi number features as 'Mehndi Hai Lagi Mere Haathon Mein' sung by Sonu Nigam and specialist Jaspinder Narula. Music by Daboo Malik and Sudhakar Sharma's lyrics have absolutely nothing new to offer and one can't differentiate it with the umpteenth number of Bhangra tracks heard before. It is a 'shaadi byaah' number and can be given a convenient skip.

Disco Dandiya makes its presence felt in 'Main to Ladki Kanwaari'. Comparisons with 'Dholi Taro Dhol Baaje' from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam is inevitable and the verdict is that it tries its best to reach up to the masterpiece level but doesn't succeed too well in that. Start and finish points of the number are very much 'inspired' by 'Dholi Taro' but in entirety it is just a very average song. Sonu Nigam, Sneha Pant and anothe male singer (whose name hasn't been mentioned in the inlay cover -- the reasons best known to the audio company) sing this Sajid-Wajid composition.

TNBP is one of those rare Salman Khan movies that doesn't boast of a great music score. Overall TNBP isn't any great shakes with the exception of Kamaal Khan's 'Kyo Khanke....' (which is quite good) and one or two other average hummable tracks. You won't regret skipping TNBP !!!
