Ring..Ring...!!
Who is there?
Tumse Milke...Wrong Number
Does it ring a bell?
No, it doesn't...!!
To a lesser mortal the title of this new love story cum thriller that carries a tagline of 'When death comes calling' doesn't really make meaning. And probably this is what the USP of the movie may just lie in!! But one impression it does convey is - "By any chance, is it the adapted version of the recent Hollywood hit - 'Phone Booth'?" Let's wait and watch. Principal starcast of Wrong Number is quite young that comprises of Rakesh Bapat, Richa Pallod, Parvin Dabas and Yash Tonk. Latest trend of debutante directors continues with Wrong Number, which is directed by Jignesh V. Vaishnav. Manoj and Sanjay Chaturvedi produce this film which has music by 'still-trying-to-find-a-way-in' Daboo Malik and lyrics by Praveen Bhardwaj.

When one hears to the music of a movie that comprises of relatively fresh and an unknown banner, one doesn't expect much. But to one's pleasant surprise, what is churned out is some pleasant sounding music, which although not path-breaking still manages to entertain well. Listening to 'Jab Tak Tum Saamne Rahoge', 'Dil Sunta Hai' and 'Kal Hum Jis Se Mile They' certainly doesn't do any harm to your mood.

Though 'Jab Tak Tum' and 'Kal Hum Jis Se' sound suspiciously similar in tunes (one does wonder whether the latter is just another version of the former), one still doesn't mind whenever they are played. Though the setting is all the same as has been witnessed innumerous times in Bollywood numbers so far - sugar coated lyrics, oh-so-typical melody, ever-so-common foreign locales and feel-good choreography - there is something in each of the numbers that make them hummable.

All the tracks are equally entertaining and appear as separate solos ( Dil Sunta Hai - by Anuradha Paudwal, Abhijeet) as well as instrumentals (Jab Tak Tum... ). Do Kumar Sanu and Anuradha Paudwal manage to recreate their magic in 'Jab Tak Tum' as they used to do years back? To some extent....yes!! Special mention to this track for its heart warming feel throughout.

'Kabhi Kabhi Koyi Chehra' - a duet by Anuradha Paudwal and Babul Supriyo, though predictable and often-heard, still sounds interesting due to the fresh cast and feel-good approach. Though after all these melodies, it becomes a bit off-track for the album when the tracks 'Rafta Rafta' and title song - 'Wrong Number' arrive. 'Rafta Rafta' is primarily an 80's style rock-n-roll number whereas the title track is again not beyond anything average. Both the tracks are duets by Sunidhi Chauhan and Daboo Malik who not do really much in making their presence felt.

But since we anyway didn't expect really much from this album, it is a welcome sign to have about 3-4 above average to good numbers that pep up the entire album. Add to it the aggressive promotion by T-Series and recovering cost may not be any issue for them.

Buy it for the sheer pleasure of entering the world of feel-good.
