I was a little unsure about this movie at first because period films are not exactly my thing. The beginning was very historical, with names of people and places being thrown at you. Once you see the grown up Akbar (Hrithik), you can't help but be in awe. He truly outdid himself in my opinion. His eyes say so much to the point where if he's angry, you're afraid he'll blow up in your face and when he's in love, you can't help but wish you were the girl he's looking at. Jodhaa (Aishwarya) is another phenomenal character. She is absolutely strong and confident in a time where women were supposed to be submissive. There are a lot of memorable scenes and the action was really well done, especially with the war scenes and the use of animals. The story really had substance and despite the length, you can't help but be carried along by the story. I totally recommend giving this movie a watch as long as you don't mind fighting/war scenes. You gotta see it!
What I liked about the movie:
I loved the chemistry between Jodhaa and Akbar and how they slowly fell in love. I thought it was really great that their love wasn't automatic, but deep and meaningful.
What I didn't like about the movie:
I'm not a fan of bloodshed. I'm all about everyone just getting along so I'd have to say the fighting was not my favorite, but it definitely added to the movie so I can't say I hated it because it was necessary for the story.
