Jodhaa Akbar is a film about a sixteenth century epic romance, between a Raput princess and a Mughal Emperor.
I must honestly admit that i did'nt have high hopes for this movie when i went to the cinema. Seeing that Hrithik had made movies like Kkrish and Dhoom 2, which proved to be a waste of my time(even though im a Big fan of Duggu!).
And even less hope did i have for Aishwarya as i have always seen her as a beauty but not an actress.
But friends i was proven very very wrong! This movie is one of the best indian movies i have ever seen.. It has it all, Love, Drama, Tears, Laughter, Brilliant battle scenes, Comedy and again the sweetest love story i have seen/felt since Kuch kuch hota hai or K3G.
Brilliant movie, which i would advice all to watch, and definitly in the cinema! Or else you miss a lot of the karisma the movie has. This is not like any film the youth has seen, is so original.
What I liked about the movie:
Aish and Duggu are not just assets in this film, they have really made this film an epic, which i will watch again and again. Their chemistry is awesome, and the storyline is so fresh and original. I really felt that hindi cinema has come so far after watching this movie. Again the love stoty is unique and fresh and the acting by everyone in this film is just superb! I did not like the songs (except Jashne Bahara)when i heard them, but when you see them in the film and find out what their purpose is you really adore them. Khawaja is simple a stunning and magical song, and how wonderfully performed by the Sufi, and the gourgeus Hrithik roshan. The songs Jashne Bahara & In Lamhon Ke Daman Mein are two of the most romantic songs heard recently. All the other songs are really nice too.
I recommend this movie with all my heart.
What I didn't like about the movie:
The lenght can bore one at a time, but seriously one dosen't complain because the movie is so brilliant:)
