Schools inspire kids to be national heroes through Iqbal Click here to add this article to My Clips

While Nagesh Kukunoor’s Iqbal is winning rave reviews from the media and film industry, even the everyday audience are flocking the theatres in large numbers to catch up with the inspiring film. That apart, schools in Mumbai are arranging special screenings for the students to inspire them to be national heroes like the title character of Iqbal who despite being deaf and a mute still plays cricket on the national level.

Podar School in Santacruz, Mumbai held a special screening of Iqbal for 1600 school children including underprivileged children on first day of the release of the film. There were around 900 students within the age limit of 6 years to 15 years in one show another other batch of 700 kids in the age group of 3 to 6 years in evening show. Shreyas Talpade, the hero of Iqbal and Subhash Ghai, the producer were greeted by the students with thundering applause.
