Kareena opts out of ‘Love Story 2050’? Click here to add this article to My Clips

By Taran Adarsh, August 30, 2005 - 09:00 IST

Harry Baweja has postponed the launch of his son Harman’s debut film LOVE STORY 2050, a sci-fi fare that begins in 2005 and ends in 2050. Don’t jump to conclusions, the reasons for the cancellation of the shooting schedule aren’t financial at all!

Baweja was all set to start filming Harman’s debut film from September 23. Everything had been finalized, from the dates of the actors to the sets to the costumes to the technical crew. But Baweja pressed the brakes before embarking on the first shooting schedule of this ‘time travel’ film.

The reason for the postponement can be attributed to the shraddh period [from mid-September to October]. Most producers shy away from launching/releasing their films during this period and Baweja, obviously, wants the best for his son. “Therefore, dad has decided to start filming once shraddh ends,” Harman informs me. Harry adds separately, “I’ve now scheduled the shooting of the film from mid-October onwards.”

Meanwhile, Harry has rubbished rumors that Kareena Kapoor has opted out of the film since she has signed a number of projects of late. “That’s untrue,” Harry exclaims, “Kareena is very much an integral part of the film. She has already allotted the dates to us.”
