Tusshar on signing spree

Going through the best phase in his career, post success of KYAA KOOL HAI HUM, Tusshar is feeling elated and disturbed concurrently. Elated, because the actor has been signed by two prominent production houses, Subhash Ghai’s Mukta Arts Ltd. [for a campus comedy] and Shree Ashtavinayak [makers of MAINE PYAAR KYUN KIYA]. The latter has signed Tusshar for two films, to be directed by Rohit [ZAMEEN] Shetty and Neeraj Vora, respectively.
Plus, there’s a film for sister Ekta Kapoor that’s all set to take off. “A solo hero film, it’ll be directed by Satish Kaushik [he had directed Tusshar in his debut film MUJHE KUCHH KEHNA HAI]. The film should roll in October, although we will start filming only next year,” Tusshar, who is currently in Goa for the Rohit Shetty-directed GOLMAAL – FUN UNLIMITED, informs me.
While on GOLMAAL, the entire cast of the film, which includes Ajay Devgan, Tusshar, Arshad Warsi and Sharman Joshi, have gone in for a new look, courtesy Aalim, the hair stylist of the stars. “GOLMAAL is a comedy and I play a lovable rascal in it,” Tusshar adds. The actor has moved away from the seedha-saadha image that KYAA KOOL HAI HUM has built for him.
Now the reason that got Tusshar disturbed. A news-report recently stated that Tusshar had got Aashish Chowdhry ousted from Mukta Arts Ltd.’s film, being directed by Ashwini Chaudhary, and had him replaced by Emraan Hashmi. “I’ve never resorted to such games in the past, nor will I ever get into it. I barely know Aashish or Emraan. And it’s the producer and director’s prerogative to decide the right choice for a character. Why drag me into this?” Point noted, Tusshar!
