Vikram Bhatt’s Aakhir is now Ankahee

Vikram Bhatt’s next project was titled Aakhir. However, now the film has a new title. Initially, the title Aakhir was unavailable. So they decided to add three dots to the title and name it Aakhir… But then Vikram’s previous producer did not want to let go of the previous title. So it was decided to call the film Ankahee. Vikram is quite happy with the title as he feels that it goes with the story line of the film. Ankahee was also the title of Amol Palekar’s Hindi directorial debut which was based on an extra marital affair. Vikram clarifies that his film is completely different from Palekar’s film.
It is not uncommon for producers to change the titles of their films. Recently, Vidhu Vinod Chopra changed his film’s name from Yagna to Eklavya.
