Shankar Ehsaan Loy to give music for the Commonwealth Games 2006

When we talk about versatility in the music world it is none other than the three musketeers of the music industry; Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy who have made the nation groove to their hit track 'Kajra Re'. Not known to many but the trio has composed the music for the Commonwealth Games 2006 held in Australia. The trio had earlier composed music for the Afro Asian Games and the National Games.
"The people involved with the commonwealth Games liked our work and hence we were invited to do the music for the same," says Ehsaan. Their composition played at the Commonwealth Games this year, is a kind of an invitation to the players and others to come to India where the games are going to be held four years later. The concept of the piece is akin to the theme song of the Olympics which indeed is a great honor.
