Rituparno’s Rahgeer with PNC, UTV works on a separate project

Just yesterday, we had reported
that there was buzz in the market about Rituparno Ghosh’s Rahgeer being pulled in by production house UTV, as against PNC, which was originally supposed to produce the film. There was a lot of confusion and we had even asked the production houses to confirm on the issue.
And in a joint confirmation by both the production banners – PNC and UTV, it has been cleared that UTV is in talks with Rituparno Ghosh on a completely different project. And even that project might tentatively star Akshay Kumar. This resulted in the entire confusion of the two movies being the same. UTV further confirmed that this project has not yet been titled.
So Rituparno Ghosh continues making Rahgeer starring Akshay Kumar, with PNC. This should put the entire speculation to rest.
