"Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. is different from Salaam-E-Ishq and Just Married" - Reema Kagti

Director Reema Kagti is eagerly awaiting the release of her debut directorial venture. And why not? After all it is quite a responsibility to be a director for a mega film like Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. that boasts of a multi star cast with 6 couples and a mysterious follower (more of that to come in later news!).
In addition, the film has been produced for Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar who have been the producers of Dil Chahta Hai, Lakshya and Don.
With number of films revolving around the theme of marriage and newly wed couples (Salaam-E-Ishq releases on 25th January while last heard Just Married too arrives on 23rd February, the day when Honeymoon Travels...comes), we catch up with Reema to know what's cooking!
"Nothing like that, seriously", she says in a relaxed tone, "I have come out of that phase when I was worrying about number of films on a similar genre/theme being made. At this moment, my sole concentration is the promotion of HTPL and the way it is accepted by the audience."
But doesn't it worry her at all that it may confuse the audience to watch number of identical looking films at the same time, "But they are not!", she is quick to retort, "Once you watch my film, you won't find anything similar to the other two. It has a different feel and setting altogether and as I mentioned earlier, it is one quirky comedy! You would have a lot of fun while watching it, believe me!"
Tell her that her songs are getting popular, especially Kay Kay's nice-n-big jig in 'Sajna Vari Vari' and she says, "I am glad about that. It has been a very nice performance from him. You have to watch out for other songs too which should be up in the film's promotion soon."
Ask her about the film's release strategy and whether HTPL would be unleashed in a big way on hundreds of prints or would it have a selective release and she signs off by saying, "I can't really comment on that. I would leave it to the producers to see what works best for the film!"
