No postponement

It's a known fact that two biggies -- SHOOTOUT AT LOKHANDWALA and CHEENI KUM -- are confirmed for release on the same Friday: 25th May. However, there's talk that CHEENI KUM might be shifted ahead, by a week or two since [i] Both star Amitabh Bachchan and [ii] The clash of two major films on the same date would result in the business getting divided.
“We are not shifting CHEENI KUM ahead. It's definitely arriving on 25th May,” Sunil Lulla of Eros denies the development outright. But is it wise to bring two Bachchan starrers on the same date? “First of all, both are diverse films in terms of genre. Also, the star cast is different. Sanjay Dutt and Suniel Shetty enact pivotal roles in that film, while the story of CHEENI KUM revolves around Mr. Bachchan and Tabu. So there's no need to press the panic button,” Sunil adds.
