PNC forays into multiplex business

Pritish Nandy Communications Ltd has forayed into the exhibition business under the brand name of PNC Boutique Theatres. PNC will have two operating brands called Flix and Flix Grande. The first Flix multiple screen boutique theatre will be ready and running within six months and the second before the year end.
According the Pritish Nandy the company will be looking at investing close to Rs 1.50 billion (Rs 150 crores) over the next 18 - 24 months for the same. PNC aims to launch its first screen within the next six months and in 18 month’s time, they will have at least 10 screens operational and that will increase to 15 in two year’s time.
Flix will cater special audiences. It will provide a unique experience and will not be in competition with traditional single screen theatres and multiplexes.
