Fighting seemingly insurmountable hurdles, including death, has become a way of life for Anurag Basu.

And now Anurag has decided to take on one more challenge. He wants to prove TV actors can become successful in cinema. And he's putting his money where his vision is. Basu, God bless his enterprising spirit, is making a film featuring three of the main actors from his televised mini-series Love Story.

Says Anurag, "I started on television. I directed hundreds of episodes of Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, made a feature film Kucch To Hai, for Ekta Kapoor , and then moved on to do films like Gangster. But I never lost my links with the home medium. In fact while directing GangsterI also directed the TV series Love Story."

And now Basu is all set to take the home medium even further. "I've decided to make a feature film with three of the actors Ajay Choudhary, Rohan Tiwari and Payel Kumar from my mini-series. A good actor is a good actor, no matter what the medium. And these three are incredible actors."

Basu is currently designing the right vehicle for the trio. Will he succeed on the large screen with the TV trio where others have failed?
