Siddharth bags lead role in Dilli 6

After a big hue and cry about the cast, Siddharth of Rang De Basanti fame has been signed for Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s next Dilli 6. After the huge success of Rang De Basanti there were rumors that director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra was looking forward to cast Abhishek Bachchan, later Hrithik was offered the film followed by Akshay Kumar. But now the news is that Siddharth is the chosen one.
This will be Siddharth’s second Hindi film after Rang De Basanti in which his performance was highly appreciated. Siddharth is an established star down south with hits like Boys and Mani Ratnam’s Ayitha Ezhuthu.
He will also be seen in a short film on AIDS called Blood Brothers directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and in David Dhawan’s comedy Hook Ya Crook with Amrita Rao.
