Mimoh's launch being pushed for suicide? Click here to add this article to My Clips

By Joginder Tuteja, March 17, 2008 - 11:00 IST

If the release plans for Jimmy are to be taken on the face value, everyone associated with the film seems to be hell bent on pushing Mimoh's launch as sheer suicide!

After being delayed for months in succession, Jimmy seems to be finally getting ready to arrive at theaters. However, shocking as it may sound, but the current date identified for the film's release is 18th April. So what's wrong with that? Well, the film releases just a week before Yash Raj Films biggest and most prestigious projects in recent times - Tashan. Arriving on 25th April, this film directed by debutant Vijay Krishna Acharya is all set to take a record opening at the box office and destroy anything and everything which comes in its vicinity.

Looking at this scenario, Jimmy's challenge lies in not just finding an audience for itself but even manage to sustain itself a week after considering the fact that Tashan would be seeing a huge release. Also, the promos of Jimmy which were screened along with Partner last year hardly seemed enticing which only makes the going tougher for the yet-to-debut actor.

Are the makers listening?!
