UTV Spot Boy's Aamir is a salute to all first-time dreamers

This project has got together a whole lot of first time dreamers (read debutants), who cherished the dream of making a film like Aamir. It is the first feature film for Raj Kumar Gupta- the director (who happens to be Anurag Kashyap's protégé), for the lead actor Rajeev Khandelwal (who is a television superstar); for the music director Amit Trivedi; for the cinematographer Alphonso Roy; and for the producer UTV Spot Boy.
Right from the producer to director to music director to cinematographer and even the actor, all are debutants. "It was really fun, as we all came with fresh approaches and there was no baggage or a pre-conceived notion of how things were done or ought to be done. Things were always decided after a collective discussion. Hence, when you see the film, you will see a lot of freshness in the film,” says Rajkumar Gupta.
The film is expected to release by May 18, 2008.
