Nandita Das to get the French Order of Arts and Literature

Nandita Das will be bestowed for her contribution to cinema by the prestigious Ordre Des Arts Et Des Lettres at Paris. Not just that, she has also been given an open choice to choose any French personality for felicitation.

Nandita, who is on the cloud nine, informed that she was taken by surprise on receiving the letter last week. She further added that, to her, Paris is very similar to Kolkata in terms of both being the cultural nerve-centres of their respective countries.

Nandita is second Bollywood personality after Shah Rukh Khan who has been conferred with this award this year. It was at the beginning of the year that Shah Rukh Khan was honoured with the award.
